Description
The idea of a modular system made from Swiss pine, starting in the “baby’s room,” has occupied us for quite some time, because a good night’s sleep should be a given, especially for babies and toddlers.
Babies sleep up to 18 hours in the first months of life; during this time, they need to process many new impressions and gather new energy. Sleep promotes the baby’s health, well-being, and performance. In the deep sleep phase, growth hormones are released, and the immune system is strengthened.
Since Swiss pine is not only beneficial but also valuable, we found it a pity that a baby cradle can only be used for a few months. This gave rise to the idea of converting the baby cradle into a cot.
The upper part, the sleeping box, becomes a toy box or similar, and the base becomes the headboard and footboard of the cot. You can then purchase the set for the cot and thus fully reuse the baby cradle.
The cot set consists of an additional headboard and footboard, two side panels with bars, and a slatted frame. As the little ones grow, three bars can be removed; this allows them to get in and out of bed independently while still providing protection from falling out. The slatted frame can be adjusted to two heights, adapting to the children’s growth spurts.
And that’s not all! After a few years, your child will explain that they are now big and want a “big” bed without bars. You can then quickly convert the cot into a junior bed. For this, you only need an additional conversion set with two bed sides, and your child will still be living with untreated Swiss pine.
The baby cradle has a lying surface of 80 x 40 cm; after a later conversion, the lying surface will be 140 x 70 cm.
With the first conversion set, we include our in-house slatted frame free of charge, with the matching size of 140 x 70 cm, made of beech wood.

- We have deliberately refrained from removing knots or other irregularities in the wood. These characteristics make each piece of furniture unique. Other influences such as temperature, humidity, etc., can lead to changes in the wood.
